Aya Shalkar (Kazakhstan/US), MERGEN I - A photo reconstruction of the archer centaur Mergen, discovered at a burial site near the Tarbagatai mountain range, dated to the 6th century CE. The site is believed to belong to the Peri civilization that once inhabited the region. Mergen was a distinguished member of a tribe of At Peri and was buried with the following objects.
